
The following is a brief description of our planned professional learning work for February 13, 2026. This work is organized around our district’s collective goal:
- All students shall read, write, and communicate at grade level in both languages of instruction.
School staff will monitor the impact of their work from February 13, and on subsequent professional learning days, in achieving these goals.
Literacy
With the assistance of District Literacy Specialists, K-5 Teachers, Resource Staff and EAs will familiarize themselves with the new Whole-Class Weekly Foundational Fluency Routine. We will work through the daily activities presented in district materials, with the goal of efficiently and effectively utilizing this important tool during literacy blocks.
Staff will work collaboratively to gather texts to use for their Fluency Routine. They will explore AI generated materials, books in classrooms and school libraries, and poems, nursery rhymes, song lyrics, etc. to create a bank of resources to use during the school year.
